This letter was penned by the mother of a girl who is really battling with the adverse effects of Gardasil on 28th June 2016. The mother has indicated that she will let us know what response she gets, given that all our efforts to communicate the vaccine's harms are going unheeded!
Good afternoon Dr Jonathan Coleman (Ed: The current Minister of Health in New Zealand)
I am writing to you out of shear desperation to be honest, and with grave concerns for other healthy New Zealand children.
I do not know where else to turn, our lives have been totally destroyed by the vaccine Gardasil and we have no help. ACC will not accept a child could be vaccine injured. Starship have discharged my daughter with an “unknown” illness , after throwing every treatment in the book at her including , IVIG, Steroids, Plasmapheresis and Chemotherapy, all of which made her even worse.
My Daughter is unable to attend school, I am trying to hold down a full time job, juggle family life and care for a disabled child who finds it hard to function on a daily basis. Not to mention the huge financial burden this has taken on our family as the mainstream medical system do not know how to help her and the only treatments that work are not funded. At her worst we spending up to $800 per week.
My daughter received all three vaccinations in 2014, and this is where her health deteriorated rapidly. Prior to this vaccine she was a healthy, happy 12 year old girl, with absolutely no health issues.
In the October of 2014 she was admitted to Starship after having a psychological break down. MRI scans of her brain showed swelling of her hippocampus and as the Neurologist put it, they had never seen anything like this in a child in NZ and to this day we have no answers.
What we do have however, is a very sick child who has also been diagnosed with Limbic encephalitis, Central Neural Sensitisation Syndrome, Allodynia, a rare Auto immune disease, suffers from memory loss, chronic ice pick headaches, chest pain, spinal pain, chronic fatigue, and the list goes on. She has been in and out of hospital for the past two years and spent time at the Wilson Home rehab centre when her pain syndrome rendered her in a wheel chair.
She has attempted suicide twice in the past two years as she can not deal with being so sick. As she can not attend school she has huge social anxiety now and has lost a lot of friendships, as you can imagine if you have any of your own children this is heart breaking for a parent.
If I knew back then, what I know now through extensive research and talking with the multitude of parents around the world going through the same health issues with their girls and now boys, I would never ever have gone anywhere near this vaccine.
My concern here is the lack of informed consent given to parents, on the safety and efficacy of this vaccine.
We had full trust in the medical system as we have been brought up to do. I know now I should have asked for the safety data sheet which is in the vaccine packet – this is never offered, and to be honest how many people actually know you can ask for this. You can go into any doctors surgery and try to get this information and believe me it is not an easy task.. This should be given to every parent before playing Russian roulette with their child’s life. Nothing is ever mentioned on the HPV website or the signed consent form about the severe adverse reactions causing auto immune diseases, seizures etc, surely this has to be a breach of human rights in this country.
We lodged a CARM report, which was recorded and was on the CARM data base last year, however this year, it has disappeared. I was told by CARM that if the case had a lot of media publicity they are taken off the public data base but are still on their main data base. How on earth is this an honest reporting system, when any medical professional or parent looking at this database does not get true reporting !! This has angered me and I feel like there is a hidden agenda here.
I am sure you are aware of the Nordic Cochrane complaint and the allegations sent to the WHO. There was never any ovarian studies done in the Gardasil trial and worldwide these teenage girls are going into premature menopause and a huge number are suffering from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and chronic pain with their monthly cycle, on top of all the other multitude of symptoms they are dealing with.
The Placebo did not comply with the WHO Gold standards for placebos used in a “new” vaccine clinical trial, they contained neurotoxic adjuvant !! How is this safe ??
There has never been any scientific evaluation for synergistic toxicity of the vaccine either .
There needs to be a full investigation into this vaccine before you as the Minister of Health destroy more healthy children’s lives. You are looking at rolling this out for boys, this is ludicrous, boys worldwide are suffering the same symptoms as the girls, just ask my daughter she is in contact with boys in Australia and the USA who can not function either.
I certainly could not sleep at night knowing how much damage this is causing to our children and not doing anything about it.
We as a family destroyed need some help, I await your comments. If you could take the time to meet with myself and my daughter I think would help you to understand the devastating effects this vaccine has.
